Affidea expands in Ireland with opening of third ExpressCare clinic

Affidea continues its expansion plans and announces the opening of the third ExpressCare clinic in Ireland to provide high quality treatment for patients with minor injuries or illnesses, while offering access to our state-of-the-art suite of advanced diagnostic imaging.

The new facility is located at Northwood in Santry, Dublin, and will open to the public in the coming weeks.

Affidea already employs more than 300 professionals across Ireland and 10 new positions will be created at the Northwood clinic, with more expected to come on stream as the business grows.

ExpressCare clinics by Affidea are ‘walk in’ facilities that treat minor injuries and minor illnesses that don’t require a hospital visit. Children over the age of one are also treated, eliminating the need for a stressful visit to a hospital A&E department with an injured child. All ExpressCare clinics are open from 10am to 10pm, 365 days a year. The business already operates ExpressCare in Tallaght and The Elysian in Cork.

Our first ExpressCare clinic opened in Cork at the end of 2017 and has been a huge success. Similarly, ExpressCare in Tallaght, which opened just last year, has seen patients across Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath and Louth accessing the service. We’re now delighted to offer these patients even more convenience by opening a similar facility on the north side of the capital.”

ExpressCare provides services to all patients who attend on a fee for service basis, and it’s a covered benefit for health insurance providers Laya Healthcare and Irish Life Health.
