Affidea Ireland & Athletics Ireland Regional Junior Endurance Performance Camps
The Affidea Ireland sponsored Leinster and Munster Junior Endurance Performance squad camps took place this past weekend, with over 100 of the top 15-19 year old endurance athletes bringing their A game!
Guest speakers included US-based Irish International 3,000m steeplechaser and sub 4 min miler Tomás Cotter, along with Irish Internationals Mark Christie, Fionnuala McCormack, David McCarthy and Shona Heaslip.
Lead coach Steve Macklin said; “Many thanks to Annette Quegan who put the programme and whole weekend together, and to all the coaches for giving their time to host the weekend, with Fintan Reilly playing a blinder with real-time updates on Twitter! Special thanks to Athletics Leinster and Munster for supporting this Athletics Ireland initiative, and to Affidea Ireland for their ongoing support of the endurance programme. Roll on next camp in January 2018!”
