The 5th annual Affidea Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon, fronted by Affidea Ambassador and Olympic hero, Thomas Barr, and radio DJ, Louise McSharry, is one of Ireland’s largest running events, returning to the streets of Dublin’s City Centre on 12/13 of August 2017.

With 4 unique distances for runners to choose from, bespoke “must have” medals, music acts at each mile and a finish line concert, the stunning combination of music, memorable moments, medals and miles has become an annual summertime running tradition.

In a week of celebrations, Sinead Gannon from Roscommon was also named 2017’s Rock ‘n’ Run Idol after fighting off competition in a public vote from 4 other finalists chosen with the input of Affidea CEO Tom Finn.

Sinead, who is currently training to take part in the Affidea Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon in August, will be awarded with an incredible trip to Las Vegas to take part in the epic Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & 1/2 Marathon. Read her inspirational story here.

The 2017 Affidea Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon weekend is a fun-filled, festival of running with 21.1k, 10k, 5k and Family Fun Run making the event accessible to runners of all abilities. Registration closes on Sunday, August 6.
