Financial Analyst (Dublin)

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs and collating operational data
  • Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions
  • Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Liaise with cross functional departments to assess business information needs
  • Develop reports and analysis based on corporate specifications
  • Compile periodic reporting packs for relevant departments e.g. daily, weekly monthly reporting information
  • Maintain historic record of business information for analysis and for records
  • Ongoing analysis of profitability
  • Supporting the preparation of quarterly forecasting and annual budget process
  • Supporting financial analysis of tender bids and pricing decisions
  • Supporting the preparation of financial models for investment purposes

Job Requirements

  • Strong organisational and documentation skills
  • A positive solutions focused mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to work in small team and communicate with non-financial management
  • Excellent Excel skills with an analytical mind

Desirable :  

  • Qualified Accountant/Chartered Financial Analyst with post qualified experience or working towards similar qualification
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Experience of Crystal Reports / Data Reporting Environments
