Financial Analyst (Dublin)
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs and collating operational data
- Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions
- Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials
- Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Liaise with cross functional departments to assess business information needs
- Develop reports and analysis based on corporate specifications
- Compile periodic reporting packs for relevant departments e.g. daily, weekly monthly reporting information
- Maintain historic record of business information for analysis and for records
- Ongoing analysis of profitability
- Supporting the preparation of quarterly forecasting and annual budget process
- Supporting financial analysis of tender bids and pricing decisions
- Supporting the preparation of financial models for investment purposes

- Ability to work in small team and communicate with non-financial management
- Excellent Excel skills with an analytical mind
Desirable :
- Qualified Accountant/Chartered Financial Analyst with post qualified experience or working towards similar qualification
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience of Crystal Reports / Data Reporting Environments
