Spectrum Health grows partnership with Affidea Ireland with four new service locations at Affidea centres

Spectrum Health is expanding their current partnership with Affidea to open four new service locations within Affidea centres in Cork, Tallaght, Northwood and Waterford.

Spectrum Health is an Irish owned, allied healthcare company who have grown to over 35 locations nationwide, offering convenient and effective care to their patients with data portability between locations. Although they have a number of their own flagship clinics in Dublin and Cork, the majority of locations are housed within Primary Care Centres and GP Practices, providing the much needed services of Physiotherapy, Psychology, Podiatry and Dietetics.

“Our aim is to provide seamless, clinically robust services to patients, doctors and specialists, with one referral pathway, better patient outcomes and a reduction of the fragmented allied healthcare market,” says Anne McGoldrick, co-founder, Managing Director and Physiotherapist.

“This fragmentation means it is very difficult to know who to trust with you or your family’s health. Where do you go with your back pain, your depression, your irritable bowel syndrome, and who do you visit if your child stutters or has a verruca? There are so many conditions and health problems that can be simply addressed if you simply know who to see. We are building a company that delivers properly qualified health care professionals who are recognised and trusted within the medical community to ensure you get the care you need when you need it.”

This is achieved with a focus on maintaining clinical standards and ensuring that all of their Clinicians maintain their continual professional development, are members of their relevant professional bodies and are eligible for state registration with CORU.

“We also use technology to improve our reach, with video and telephone consultations available for those unable or too far away to travel. We can, in some cases, offer App-based rehabilitation which reduces the need to come into clinic for treatment progressions for those who travel a lot or who, like many of us, are ‘time-poor,’” McGoldrick says.

The recent expansion with Affidea was not a difficult decision, McGoldrick explains; “Affidea is an incredibly professional organisation and their ambition to provide an extraordinary patient service aligns perfectly with our own patient-focused goals. Our services complement each other so well, not just with the full range of diagnostic services available but also with their new ExpressCare facilities and the recent addition of much needed Concussion Services in Ireland.”

Affidea Country Manager Barry Downes said; “Our relationship with the team at Spectrum has been long-standing and one of mutual benefit. There is a great synergy between what Affidea offer through our network of ExpressCare and diagnostic imaging clinics, and what Spectrum deliver. Our ethos is similar – better patient outcomes and the aggregation of services to reduce fragmentation.”

“For us to be able to offer patients on site access to physiotherapy and other rehabilitation services is what creates the added value for both our patients. Clearly defined and managed pathways are the key to better patient outcomes. The expansion of our service partnership is a further commitment by both Affidea and Spectrum to ensuring improvement and efficiencies in health service delivery.”

The foundation upon which Affidea has been built is trust. Both doctors and patients know that we strive to provide the best standard of care, delivered by the best professionals with the most modern technologies. Patients trust and rely on doctors. Doctors trust and rely on us.
What’s Affidea’s secret to transforming the standards of healthcare service provision? Our people. Healthcare professionals that know what they are doing and care about what they do. They make us who we are today. And who we want to be tomorrow.
We implement the highest standards and procedures to ensure safety. Affidea is committed to becoming the first European diagnostic provider to shape a new paradigm in patient safety by introducing a company wide Dose Excellence Programme ensuring the right balance between dose and image quality.
Affidea has an extensive network of international affiliations with the world’s top medical institutions to ensure that our doctors always have immediate access to the latest medical knowledge, clinical guidelines and medical procedures in all Affidea medical centres in order to ensure the highest quality diagnostics and cancer treatment.
We know that hospitality is important.  We care about how you feel and want to make each visit  to an Affidea centre as comfortable as we can.  An exceptional patient experience is ensured by delivering a personalised service in modern and comfortable service settings where you feel safe and confident that you are receiving the highest quality medical care.
Technology has done more for health today than it has ever done and will do even more in the future. Affidea is committed to operating a best in class medical equipment base and maintain it’s long standing relations with major equipment producers to ensure our patients will always have access to the latest, most innovative and effective technology.
We develop and exchange best practice. Patients deserve to know what we do, how we do it and why we do it. The continuous improvement of all Affidea care delivery processes is achieved by capitalising on the company’s extensive experience in 14 European countries and an organised effort to share best practice to improve patient safety and patient experience.
