- We will only contact you once your referral has been reviewed by clinical team. Following this review, we will send you a text message with a link to book your appointment online.
- Via this link, you can confirm your preferred centre, answer a few safety questions, choose a time slot & provide your insurance details or manage other payment options.
You can also request a call back and we will contact you directly by phone to book your appointment.

How do I make an appointment?
- At Affidea, we make the process of scheduling your scan as simple as possible. Follow these steps to submit your referral and get your appointment booked quickly:
- Get your Referral Letter by visiting a GP/Consultant for the required scan.
- Take a clear picture or scan the full letter and submit it using the online form or by emailing us at: referrals.ie@affidea.com.
- Once our referral, we will send you a text message with a link to book your appointment online. Alternatively, you can contact us directly by phone to confirm your preferred centre, complete a few safety questions, provide you with a time slot & secure your insurance details or manage other payment options.

Will I receive confirmation of my appointment?
- Once your appointment has been confirmed you will receive a SMS and email with all the details.
How do I prepare for my scan?
- When you receive confirmation of your scan, you will also be advised how you may need to prepare. For example, you should arrive 20 minutes early for your scan; drink 750ml water one hour before scan and do not empty bladder until instructed to do so.
When will I get the results of my scan?
- The results of your scan will be sent back to your referring clinician. We aim to have all results available between 5-7 working days.
- You can also access your diagnostic images and report via our Affidea Connect
Please note, your report will be available here 14 days after your referring doctor receives it.
Is there car parking or disabled access at the clinic?

- If you require disabled access, please make this known to us when you are making your appointment to allow us to make the necessary arrangements for your attendance at our clinic.
